Appalachian Power and AEP kick off new custom energy efficiency incentive programs in West VirginiaThe State Journal, September 9, 2014
Appalachian Power and its parent company, American Electric Power, announced Sept. 9 they launched two new energy efficiency programs in West Virginia for 2014.
The programs are designed to help business facilities implement cost-effective energy efficiency projects that don’t fit into the companies’ Commercial and Industrial Prescriptive Program.
One of the two programs, titled the Custom Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Program, offer customers flexibility because each project’s energy savings and available financial incentives are calculated individually. The second, the Custom Commercial and Industrial New Construction Program, offers incentives for projects associated with new construction or renovations that exceed state code baseline energy savings by 10 percent, according to the news release.
